My Amazon review:
There are no pictures in this book (apart from the cover), and not even one map, so you obviously cannot rely on this book as your sole guide, but the Kindle version provides several pages of details on how to prepare for a mountain trip, what to see, how to find a licensed guide, what to eat, and where to stay. Most important, the author reminds you that the journey is physically taxing and you may not enjoy being jostled by the crowds in certain locations.

The author seems quite knowledgeable, but there are one or two odd places. On page 28, for example, he refers to the Temple of the Sun as an "infamous location," but doesn't explain why. Perhaps because it was "used for ... likely [sic] religious sacrifices?" Or is it because it is "high atop the ruins" and "often shrouded in fog?"
